Copyright and fair use are the laws that state one needs to wait until after the creator dies, plus 70 years, which is actually a really good law. However, I do feel as though some people can abuse this concept. For example, as we discussed in class, Disney fined a poor school 250 dollars for showing their film outside of a home setting. Other than that, I believe it is fair, and it stops people from stealing the original work of others and claiming it as their own. The way I would implement this in a school setting is that I would have my students come up with original concepts and practice having their concepts or creations under copyright laws. Then I would encourage them to ask others for permission to use their work, along with being willing to share their own, as long as the creations are being used healthily or beneficially. I would forbid them from doing things that could slander others or bring harm to themselves or others.

Of the technology implementation issues that you referenced, I think cyberbullying is the most important issue and one of the most challenging ones to address. As someone who was heavily bullied as a child, I understand the full gravity of what it means to be bullied. It makes you physically sick, it makes you depressed, it makes you suicidal, and it changes your brain structure and thought process. I would put this high on my list, perhaps a little too high. The first thing I would do is list rules about cyberbullying and how it would not be tolerated in any shape or form. If those rules were violated by anyone, I would not let a single incident get a pass. The violator would be punished to the highest degree possible, and there would be absolutely no warnings. Bullying is such a cruel act, and I would not have any room for it in my class, whether it be online or offline.

The newsletter was an excellent assignment. With that said, everything I did was completely new to me. I had seen a newsletter, but I had never even begun making one in the past. So everything from making a letter on Canva, changing fonts, coming up with a design plan, and a way to intrigue parents and students was completely new. However, honestly, the hardest part for me was creating the banner. These skills can be useful for a myriad of issues. They can be used to propose a new idea to principals, students, and parents, and perhaps for business advertisement in general. So overall, it was an excellent and eye-opening project.
